New York-based pop artist and author Michael Albert will offer two Pop Art Collage workshops in June during a Summer Reading event sponsored by the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Idea Studio.

On Wednesday, June 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., adults and teens may attend a workshop at the Buttermilk Creek Park shelter. Then, on Thursday, June 17 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., he will return for a program for young artists and families, again at the Buttermilk Creek Park shelter. Registration is required for both events.

Albert is nationally known for making art from cereal boxes and other printed cardboard consumer brand packages. For the past decade he also has been making a summer tour of libraries and museums with his Pop Art Collage workshops. This summer, he’s on a 60-day tour of libraries, museums and festivals in 10 states, and is making his first-ever visit to Fond du Lac.
