Meet a Wisconsin historical fiction author May 7 at Chapter 52 Bookstore
Readers have an opportunity to meet the author of historical fiction books on Saturday, May 7 at Chapter 52 Bookstore, located at 52 Sheboygan St.
Author Danielle Grandinetti will be at the store from 10 am to noon to meet with visitors and sign copies of her newest book, “A Strike to the Heart,” which was released April 12.
Set in Wisconsin in 1933, “A Strike to the Heart” tells the story of how, when a routine mission becomes an ambush that kills his team, Craft Agency sniper Miles Wright determines to find the persons responsible and protect the woman he rescued. But the fierce independence that led Lily Moore to leave her family’s dairy business for the solitary life of a dog trainer and the isolation of her farm don’t make that easy.
Grandinetti's short stories have appeared in several publications and her writing has won the University of Northwestern Distinguished Faith in Writing Award. She also is author of “To Stand in the Breach” and a book blogger at DaniellesWritingSpot.com.
Originally from the Chicagoland area, she now lives along Lake Michigan’s Wisconsin shoreline with her husband and their two young sons.
Chapter 52 Bookstore is open Monday through Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Operated by the Fond du Lac Public Library, the bookstore sells used books, movies, music and magazines for all ages at deep discounts.
