- Registration starts October 1: Teens’ Flash-fiction Writing Workshop, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, October 19, at the Fond du Lac Public Library, 32 Sheboygan St. Local author David Michael Williams will guide teen writers through a short-fiction exercise that will stretch creativity and imagination. Writers will get a theme, word-count limit and brainstorming, writing and polishing time. Writers will share their work and get feedback from the group. This workshop will give writers a solid start on pieces for contests, publication or simply sharing with family and friends. Free. Space is limited. Registration starts October 1 at the Calendar, at the Children’s Desk; or 920-322-3940.
- Toddler Storytimes, 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Fond du Lac Public Library, 32 Sheboygan St. For ages 2 and under. Twenty minutes of Storytime followed by 20 minutes of play in the Storytime Room. Free. No registration.
- Preschool Storytimes, 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Fond du Lac Public Library, 32 Sheboygan St. For ages 3-5. Thirty minutes of fun books, songs and more. Free. No registration.
- Half-Day Party, 1-1:30 p.m. Friday, October 4, at the Fond du Lac Public Library, 32 Sheboygan St. Half day at school? Come hang out with us. Play bingo and watch the 2019 remake of “Aladdin” (PG). With snacks. For kids in grades K-8 and their families. Free. No registration.
- Costume Swap, 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, October 5, at the Fond du Lac Public Library, 32 Sheboygan St. 10-11 a.m.: Did you donate a costume in September? Come during the early-bird first hour to redeem your voucher and pick out a costume. 11 am-noon: Everyone is invited to pick out costumes, no donation or registration required. Free. No registration.
- Registration begins October 7: Browser’s Lab, 2-3 p.m. Friday, October 18, at the Fond du Lac Public Library, 32 Sheboygan St. Hands-on science fun! - Teens’ Stranger Things Party, 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, October 12, at the Fond du Lac Public Library, 32 Sheboygan St. For teens in grades 6-12. In a world of tens, we know you’re an Eleven. Come celebrate the weird with a “Stranger Things” trivia contest, activities and waffle bar. ‘80s attire encouraged – best outfits win prizes. Free. No registration.
- Pajama Storytime, 6-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, at the Fond du Lac Public Library, 32 Sheboygan St. Snuggle up for a family-friendly evening Storytime. Pajamas and favorite stuffed friends are encouraged. Free. No registration.
- Dance Party, 10-11 a.m. Monday, October 21, at the Fond du Lac Public Library, 32 Sheboygan St. Children ages 2-5 are invited to come boogie away the morning. We’ll shake, rattle and roll to some of the best in children’s music. Free. No registration.

- Family Lego Night, 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, at the Fond du Lac Public Library, 32 Sheboygan St. A casual evening of Lego fun. We will have regular Legos and Duplos for younger kids. Just drop in. No registration.
