The story of music will be told through art in February’s gallery exhibit at Langdon Divers
Discover the joy of music through art during February’s art exhibit at the Langdon Divers Community Gallery.
More than 20 local and regional artists will be on display throughout the month with artwork created using the theme of "music."
Some are works pertaining to musical artists, while other works are made with sheet music or other items that are musical in nature. Featured artist Gary Gossens of Appleton will display large portraits of his favorite rock musicians.
"I've wanted to do a music-themed exhibit for a few years, and I'm glad this came to fruition," said Mel Kolstad, volunteer curator of the Langdon Divers Gallery. "The array of artworks shows how much music plays a role in our lives."
The artwork will be available at the gallery from Feb. 1 to 28, with a special reception held Thursday, Feb. 9 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The Langdon Divers Community Gallery is open seven days a week, whenever the Fond du Lac Public Library is open at 32 Sheboygan St. The gallery may be found off the atrium at the south entrance to the Main Library.
