Thanks to a $750 donation from the Fond du Lac Evening Optimist Club, families who attend the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Visit with Santa event 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, will receive a copy of the very funny kids’ book, “There Was a Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow!” Club members visited the library’s Children’s Room to get a sneak peak at the books. From left, Youth Services Librarian Kallie Schell and Evening Optimist members Marie Scannell and Irene Fails. The Visit with Santa event, with holiday crafts, carolers and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, is free; no registration required.
