Teens with a camera, creativity and a few minutes of free time have all they need to join the 2nd-annual Teen Photo Scavenger Hunt.

At the beginning of each month, the Fond du Lac Public Library will release five photo prompts, and participants will have until the second Friday of the month to complete the hunt. Any camera will do: phone, tablet, digital camera, etc.

For June, the prompts are: Something that sparks joy, Your shadow, Something photographed in sepia, Something glittery, and Wild Card.

Participants should email their five photos for June to teens@fdlpl.org by June 11 to receive 10 extra entries into the grand prize raffles. Tickets may be split among different prizes. Participants are limited to one set of photos per month.

Staff of the Fond du Lac Public Library will highlight their favorite entries on the library's Teen Instagram and Teen Facebook page.

Other teen opportunities scheduled for June include:

  • June 16 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.: Meet American Pop Artist & Author Michael Albert! Preregistration required at calendar.fdlpl.org. Event will be held at Buttermilk Creek Park Shelter
  • June 20-26 (all day): Book with a Snack - Teen Book Box: Register between June 7-June 13; June’s Book with a Snack box theme is “Summer Lovin'.”
