Looking to start your own book club or are wondering how the library can help your book club? At the Fond du Lac Public Library, here are some things we offer to support your book club:
The library maintains extra copies popular book club titles for adults, as well as discussion kits for kids and teens. Book Club titles check out for 60 days. One renewal is allowed and there is no late fees for reading materials. Cardholders will be billed for lost items more than 30 days past their due date.
Depending on how your Book Club operates, one member may check out multiple copies or each member may obtain their own copy of the title to be discussed. Whoever checks out a book is responsible for the item’s safe return to the library. If items are not returned, the cardholder who checked out the item is responsible for any replacement fees incurred. The cardholder checking out the item(s) is the person who should place a hold on the item. If one member is check out copies for all book club members, they should place multiple copies on hold.
If the Library does not own the book your group is reading and it’s over a year old, please fill out the ILL request form below so we can request copies be sent to us through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) for free. You will then be able to check out the items to your card.
