Fond du Lac Public Library employs about 45 people, full-time and part-time. Part-time positions range from 12 to 30 hours per week. The educational requirements for our positions range from less than a high school education to a master’s in Library Science. All of our positions require basic computer literacy and excellent customer service capabilities. Any future openings will be posted in the library and listed on this web page. We are looking for a positive, forward-thinking, community-oriented team member to help us grow a ‘Connected, Joyful, and Knowledgeable’ community. The right candidate will be able to seek out new ways to connect the community to resources, be eager to learn, and be excited to support the public in their changing information needs. As part of the Information and Outreach Services team, you will help us foster community partnerships; develop programs for adults; answer reference, technology, and readers’ advisory questions; manage an assigned area of the library’s collection of materials and electronic resources for adults; and monitor trends in information technology. Recent graduates from an ALA-accredited Master’s Degree program are encouraged to apply.

The Fond du Lac Public Library is pleased to offer a limited term, part-time, Teen Internship this summer. The internship isopen to area high school students. Under the guidance of a librarian mentor, the teen intern will develop a program or project of their choosing that will advance the library’s mission, benefit the Fond du Lac community while gaining insight into the field of librarianship.
