Equipment We Provide

Want to know about printing or faxing? Read below about some of the equipment that are available for use at the library.

Computer and Internet Access

The library provides open-access wifi and 15 public computers on the second floor. Public Computers have a 2-hour time limit per day. Patrons 13 and over may use the second-floor computers, and patrons 12 and under may use the Children’s Room computers on the first floor. We also have computers in the Teen Area for ages 13-18. Printing is $.10 per page/per side for color and black and white. Our computers use Microsoft Office products.

Creation Station

At the help desk on the first floor, there is a laminator and comb binder available to use first-come, first-served. All comb binders are $.50. Lamination sheets are between $.25-$1.00 depending on paper size.

Light Therapy Lamp

The library has a light therapy lamp free to use on the second floor, first-come, first-served. Using light therapy may aid you in sleeping better; feeling more uplifting and positive about life; focusing and being attentive

Photocopier

The library has public use photocopiers located on the first and second floors. Printing is $.10 per page/side. Scanning to a USB is free. Copies can be made in color and black and white.

211 Phone

Located on the second floor in Study Room 1, this is a dedicated phone line that connects to area services such as ADVOCAP, Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul, FDL Food Pantry, Solutions Center and more.

Scan and Fax Station

The library has public use scan and faxing stations on the first and second floor. Each station has a double-sided scanner and a flatbed scanner for small, oversize documents, or books. Scanning to email or USB is free, and faxing is $.10 per page/per side.

Book a Librarian and Book Local History Librarian

Schedule a free, one-on-one individualized session with a reference librarian who will offer assistance on technology-related questions. For basic local history and genealogy research, schedule a session with our Local History Librarian. Please note that Book-a-Librarian cannot provide medical, legal or business advice or opinions, and librarians cannot proofread documents or troubleshoot technological problems on your device.

Test Proctoring

The library offers free test proctoring. We will contact you to confirm your time. Please allow at least 72 hours for each request.

Visit the Library

Would your group like to receive a guided tour of the Fond du Lac Public Library or visit your organization? We will be happy to share library resources! Please allow at least two weeks’ advance notice.
