The City of Fond du Lac is pleased to announce the appointment of Rachel Fuller as Library Director for the Fond du Lac Public Library. In this role, Fuller will serve as the chief executive officer of the Library, providing strategic leadership, vision and operational oversight beginning on December 1, 2025.
Fuller brings 14 years of library leadership experience to Fond du Lac, as well as a passion for cultivating library services that strengthen communities, transforming libraries into vibrant gathering spaces where connections thrive.
“On behalf of the library board, we are excited to welcome Rachel Fuller as our library director,” said Library Board President Dusty Krikau. “With her robust education and experience, we are confident in her ability to lead our dynamic public library. She is poised to enhance the library’s rich tradition of outstanding community service, bringing fresh energy and innovative ideas to engage and inspire patrons of all ages.”

Most recently, Fuller served as associate director and interim executive director for the Urbana Free Library in Urbana, Illinois. There, she developed and stewarded the library’s multimillion-dollar budget and oversaw all operations, including services, programs and facilities improvements. Additionally, she has contributed to professional organizations as a board member of the Illinois Library Association and as former board member of the Illinois Heartland Library System.
Fuller earned a Master of Library and Information Science from Clarion University (now PennWest Clarion), alongside a Master of Science in Education from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from MacMurray College.
“I am thrilled to lead the Fond du Lac Public Library’s effective and dedicated team,” shared Fuller. “My goal is to build on the strong foundation and guide us toward a more strategic and sustainable institution while delivering exceptional programs and services to our community that continue to make Fond du Lac a wonderful place to live.”
